Following the July 2016 closure decree, all Private Fatih College branches across Turkey were shut down. The Istanbul campus was converted into a public Imam Hatip school (İmam Hatip Lisesi). Students were forced to transfer to other schools mid-year, and many teachers faced investigations or dismissal.
